£100k donation to drive entrepreneurship in the North East of England
Students at Northumbria University are benefiting from a new £100k fund from a generous charitable trust donation. Awards are available to students on the pioneering Entrepreneurial Business Management (EBM) programme running businesses that demonstrate the greatest potential to become ‘investment ready’.  Lucy Hatt, Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader explains, “We are really excited about the opportunities this fund will create for our students. Awards are given to businesses which plan to remain in the NE and create jobs locally.”  The inaugural EBM Business Awards this year resulted in eight student businesses winning funding which totalled £17,500.
